Image of the Child in the Palestinian Children's Literature

The research aims at achieving a number of aims:

  • Investigating the image of the child in the Palestinian children's literature produced by mature authors and identifying the values they want to transmit to the children.
  • Investigating the image of the child in the Palestinian children writings and their understanding of the values they want to present.
  • Comparing both the images and the values the Palestinian children's books want to transmit (different ages and for both genders.)
  • Identifying the pattern (whether direct of indirect) the image and the values were presented in the Palestinian children's books.
  • How much the political situation and its social implications can affect the image and the values for the child.
